AMERICAN FOLKSTYLE AND COLLEGIATE WRESTLING

Overview

Folkstyle wrestling is the traditional style of wrestling found in schools and clubs across the United States. The typical season is November to March.

NIAC practice will focus on folkstyle wrestling through the ISWA state championships in March.  Then the focus will primarily be on freestyle and Greco-Roman until July.   After that, the focus will shift back to folkstyle for the upcoming season.

LESSONS

Individual lessons and small group instruction are now available. A workout partner is recommended for wrestlers younger than high school age or weighing less than 125 pounds. The cost for an individual lesson is $30 per wrestler for one hour. Small group instruction is for four to six wrestlers. The cost is $20 per wrestler for one hour.
